|2. LOCATION TYPES
|3. Picking queue
|Prepare the storage locations.
Create, print labels, and stick them on the storage locations.
|We will use several types of Locations and their barcodes. A barcode of a location looks like this: S/P/’number’.
|To activate picking by an order number please create the queue in Menu -> Workstations -> Management “Picking by order number”.
|Employee type – is a portable location to collect and transfer the items between working sections in a warehouse. It can be a basket or trolley.
|Enter the name which will allow you to recognize it in the terminal. And the Warehouse type Fulfilment – your fulfillment warehouse name.
You don’t need any other settings to be set.
|Static type – is a general storage location where the inventory is stored. We will use it to define the Worker Location in the warehouse, so that the OA system can create an optimal route for picking.
|Inside the queue, you can watch tasks that are created during the picking process. This is the log of all tasks for all times of using the queue.
|Distribution type – is a special location, each for every single order, bin, or shelf, where you place a picked item from the portable basket or trolley before a packing process.
From this type of location, a Packer will take items for packing.
|Sorting type – is a storage location, that can be a sorting table, used to sort picked items to distribution bins, each one is for a particular order. (soon the sorting step for picking by order number will be deprecated).

If you enter the barcode manually add * sign to the barcode in the end of the string without a space.
Choose the queue that you have created for this process. Just tap on it.
|4. Scan or enter the Order ID of the Order that you want to assemble.
|5. Please scan any static storage location close to you to create an optimal route for the picking.
If you enter the barcode manually don’t forget to add * at the end.
|6. OA shows the address of the storage location for items of the order. Go to the location which is shown on the Terminal. Scan its barcode (or tap on a location on the screen).
Tip: The order ID you can find in Menu-> Order->Order ID.
|7. Check if there is an item. If it’s ok, take the item, scan its barcode, and put the item in your basket.
|8. If manual, enter the SKU of the item and put the item in your basket. If there is more than one the OA will show you the storage location of the next item. Please repeat the procedure.
|9. When all items of the order are picked, please go to the Location of the sorting type and scan its barcode. Place the items on the sorting table.
Success! You have finished the Picking. To finish the order assembling please go to the Sorting process in the OA Terminal.
(we work on the improvements of the Picking by order Number ID. Soon we will exclude the sorting step from this process).
