In order for warehouse employees to always find the right product in your warehouse, the system must know exactly where (on which shelf) the product is located. Therefore, each shelf has its own “barcode”, which consists of 4 fields: room, row, rack, and shelf.
——————————————————————————————————————–
Room
Write 1 if your Warehouse is located in one room. If you have several rooms or floors – mark every room or floor with a number.
——————————————————————————————————————–
Row (Section)
All racks are set horizontally in one line. Every row is numbered.
——————————————————————————————————————–
Rack (Section)
A vertical-specific shelf set.
——————————————————————————————————————–
Shelf
A specific shelf number. You can divide the shelf if needed.
The Storage location number looks like this.
Room – 1 Row – 50 Rack – 7 Shelf – 4.
