Ways of picking orders
Type | + Pros | – Cons | How to do |
picking by ID | +faster; +can pick any order even if it’s in ”assembling” status; | -have to scan ID of order ; -have to know the ID ; -can’t do multiple orders at once | With the created queue, you use ”terminal” to do ‘picking’, the system will ask you to scan ‘order ID’ before you can pick the items (ID of the order is found in the list of orders). |
picking by waves | +pick multiple orders; +can decide with filters which orders to be picked | -confirmed orders go directly to ”assembling status” and can’t be edited | With the created queue, you use ”terminal” to do ‘picking’, the system will ask you only to choose ”queue & wave” after this automatically starts to ask you to scan items for the orders. |
TOTES picking | +you can do picking and sorting multiple orders at once. | -confirmed orders go directly to ”assembling status” and can’t be edited | Same as ”wave picking” but the basket can be like a ”moving table” (depending on what you use) and you can sort the orders while picking. |

FAQ
– Can I skip picking if I don’t need it?
- Yes. This is done by creating a packing queue with the setting to directly pack from a static place.
– Can I limit the orders picked in a wave?
- Yes. This can be set in the ”wave picking queue” settings, there is a separate field to choose how many orders you want per wave.
– Can I see who is working on the current wave?
- Yes. You can do this when you open the wave tasks and it displays who is currently working and on what wave.
